Pirates Set to Compete in its Final Meet Before the Conference Championship

HAMPTON, Va. (Oct. 10, 2024) … The Hampton University men's cross country team is set to compete at the Lance Pink Invitational. The meet, hosted by Longwood, will be the Pirates' final race before the CAA Championship. The eight-kilometer race is set to begin at 4:30 p.m. and live results for Friday's meet can be found in the link here.
In its last time out, the Pirates competed at the ECU Pirate Invitational. Mohammed Al-YaFee had Hampton's best finish of the day placing 107th out of the 175-plus-man field. Al-YaFee ran the eight-kilometer race with a time of 26:01.9. Nellie Ambriton crossed the finish line with a time of 27:38.7.
Al-YaFee, Ambriton, Ibrahim Abdakka, Xavier Hamison, and Khalid Hamid are all set to compete for the Pirates.
