Tamisha Augustin announced on Monday the signing of Kayla Lezama as part of the 2025-26 recruiting class.
Lezama, a native of Boston, Massachusetts, joins the Pirates after two seasons at Boston College. She played in 48 games over two seasons and had a career-high 13 points against Siena in 2023, while hauling in a career-best five rebounds as a freshman against Morgan State and four assists against North Carolina in 2022. Lezama had a stretch of averaging nine points and hitting 50% from the field over four games coming off the bench.
In high school, she was a four-year letterwinner at Noble & Greenough School where she was named team captain as a senior. Lezama averaged 14 points per game to go with seven rebounds and seven assists in 2018-19. She earned Boston Globe All-Star honors, Independent School League (ISL) All-Star honors, and Boston Herald Prep School All-Star honors in 2018-19.
