HAMPTON, Va. (Jan. 5, 2026) … Hampton special team standout
Jonathan Ward earned second-team FCS All-America honors on Phil Steele's post-season All-America team. A senior, Ward earned the reputation as the top long snapper in the Coastal Athletic Association.
In addition, five Hampton football players were named to Steele's All-CAA team. Ward was also named first-team All-CAA. Graduate linebacker Harold O'Neal III earned second-team all-conference recognition registering 113 total tackles and 6.5 tackles for loss. Kicker
Brett Starling was named third-team as a punter and fourth-team as a placekicker. The freshman averaged 42.3 yards per punt and made 11-of-12 field goal attempts and was a perfect 26-of-26 PATs.

Korede Sogbesan, who finished with 61 total tackles and 8.5 tackles for loss, and redshirt sophomore defensive back
Will Hicks, who had 72 tackles plus 10 tackles for loss and sacks in 2025, earned fourth-team all-league accolades.
