Softball Falls On Senior Day To Charleston

HAMPTON, Va. (April 19, 2026) … – The visiting Charleston Cougars scored five runs in the top of the fifth to defeat Hampton 8-0 in five innings in the CAA series finale on a blustery Sunday morning.
Charleston (23-23, 12-6) scored a run in the top of the first on a Leela Langston sacrifice fly which scored Bronwyn Conroy who started the game with a single. In the second, a pair of RBI doubles from Hailey Seymour and Karlee Hughes pushed the lead to 3-0. The Cougars scored five runs in the fifth highlighted by a two-run single from Austy Miller.
Riley Bohanon, Aitrihna Aiken and Taylor Ivey all had hits for Hampton (10-29, 4-17) who will now head to Fairfax to face George Mason on Tuesday afternoon at 2 p.m. before closing the season with three games at Campbell starting on Friday.
