2010 SOPHOMORE SEASON
First Team All-MEAC… also named Preseason All-MEAC First Team… earned team’s Silver Slugger award… played in 57 games for the Lady Pirates, making 55 starts… led the team with a .348 batting average, collecting 55 hits in a 158 at-bats… scored 36 runs… had seven doubles and one triple… led the MEAC with 11 home runs… hit two home runs on March 13 against Pace… also had two home runs on March 14 against Central Connecticut… hit a walk-off three-run home run on May 2 against Delaware State… was second in the MEAC with 48 RBI… had a .614 slugging percentage, fourth-best in the MEAC, and a .422 on-base percentage… walked 19 times… had 39 put-outs and 92 assists on the season, along with 18 errors for an .879 fielding percentage... has a seven-game hitting streak during the season.

2009 FRESHMAN SEASON
First Team All-MEAC selection… played in 46 games for the Lady Pirates, starting in all of them… hit .345 on the season, with 48 hits and 28 runs scored… led the Lady Pirates and the MEAC with 11 home runs, while also hitting six doubles and a triple… drove in 31 runs, the second-highest total on the team… slugged .640, the highest on the team among players who played more than two games… walked 11 times and had a .394 on-base percentage… recorded 31 put-outs and 73 assists on defense.

NANSEMOND RIVER HIGH SCHOOL
Four-year player on the Nansemond River softball team… earned First Team All-Southeastern District and First Team All-Eastern Region honors as a freshman after hitting .435 with six home runs… named First Team All-District and All-Region again as a sophomore, hitting .415 and clubbing five home runs… as a junior, hit .411 with six home runs en route to First Team All-District and All-Region honors… named Second Team All-District as a senior after hitting .399 with four home runs… named Team MVP all four years.

PERSONAL
Born on May 9, 1990… daughter of Annette and Larry Saunders… has one sister, Whitnei (23)… featured in The Virginian-Pilot and the Suffolk News Herald… majoring in communicative science and disorders… plans to become a speech pathologist.
