Milo Austin

Milo Austin is entering in his first season as a member of the Hampton University coaching staff where he will serve as the assistant Running Backs Coach. Austin’s responsibilities will include coaching the running backs, kick-off return, recruiting and serving as the liaison for the training room.
 
Before coming to Hampton to coach, Austin began his coaching career at Midwestern State University, a division 2 school in Wichita Falls, Texas. As the running backs coach, his team was the number one in the nation in total offense in D2 averaging 520 yards per game, they were ranked number six in the Nation for rushing. His guidance produced an all-conference running back, a running back ranked in the top 10 in scoring in Division 2 with 18 touchdowns and his assistance helped Midwestern State University reach the 2nd round of the playoffs for the first time in school history.
 
Austin’s collegiate began at Salisbury University (2000-2002) where is was a cornerback and earned 1st team All-Conference, Conference Rookie of the Year, and AFCA Southeast Region Rookie of the year in 2001. He finished up at West Virginia University where he was a wide receiver and was on the Big East Championship team, 2003-2004.
 
Austin is a 2005 graduate of West Virginia University where he received a B.S. in Sport Psychology. He is a proud father of his 3 month old daughter, Nevaeh and is also a proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated. In his spare time he likes to cooking, go-karting and relaxing.
