Longtime Hampton University Director of Track and Field Maurice Pierce was honored at the HBCU Battle on Friday night with the Edwin Moses Lifetime Achievement Award for outstanding athletic leadership.

Pierce is in his 18^th season with the Hampton University track & field and cross country programs and his eighth as Director of Track and Field.   He was recognized for his contributions on and off the track for HBCU programs.
