RADFORD, Va.  – The Hampton University men's tennis saw its 2019 season come to an end on Wednesday morning as they fell 4-0 to the University of South Carolina-Upstate in the Big South Conference Championships hosted at Radford University.

In singles, USC Upstate won at lines one and four to clinch the match for the Spartans.
Fernando Fernandes was in a tight battle in the second set 6-1, 5-4 when the match was called.
Charles Hudson lost his first set in a tie breaker 7-6 (7-2) and was trailing 3-0 in the second when USC-Upstate took the match. Doubles saw
Davy Van Geerke and
Luke Thompson fall 6-1 at line one.

Prior to the Big South Tournament, the post-season awards were announced Hudson was named to the All-Academic team.
