HAMPTON, Va. – Cherise Slocombe recorded the team point for Hampton on a Monday morning as they lost 6-1 to Campbell University in a Big South Conference match at Neilson-Screen Stadium.
 
In doubles, Campbell took lines three and two by scores of 6-1 and 6-2 to take the team point. Kiah Turner and Slocombe were leading 5-2 at line one when Campbell won the doubles point.

The singles matches saw Campbell win five of six matches. Slocombe won a third set tie breaker at line two over Lou Regen 7-6 (7-3), 3-6, 1-0 (10-6) for the team point. 

Hampton travels to Farmville, VA to take on Longwood University Wednesday April 10 at 3 pm.
