HAMPTON, Va. – Donovan Rose from Hampton University has been chosen to attend the inaugural TopConnect AD leadership symposium. This invitation-only symposium, which runs October 15-16, is aimed for aspiring Division I Athletic Directors and will prepare participants for their next steps within intercollegiate athletics

"It is an honor to be selected to participate in this inaugural symposium. I am looking forward to learning from many of the top Athletic Directors in the country," Rose said.

TopConnect AD is designed for senior level athletics administrators who are looking to take the next step in their careers. Attendees will benefit from interactive sessions with long-time Athletics Directors, current Presidents/Chancellors/CEO's of Division-I institutions, search firm leadership, and recently hired Athletics Directors.

The lineup of speakers includes DeLoss Dodds, Craig Littlepage and Debbie Yow along with industry search firms including CarrSports Consulting, College Sports Solutions, Collegiate Sports Associates and Parker Executive Search.

TopConnect revolutionizes the connections within the world of collegiate athletics by joining future leaders with current leaders through an educational forum. Initially launched over fifteen years ago as Villa 7, the TopConnect program has evolved into a valuable resource for coaches, athletics administrators, and other industry leaders.

Donovan Rose has worn many hats in his 27 years associated with Hampton University.  As a former student-athlete, NFL player, assistant and head football coach at Hampton, Rose brings a wealth of knowledge, impeccable character, and the respect from the players, assistant coaches, school administrators, and the community.

He currently serves as the Director of Operations after a three year stint as Assistant Athletic Director with an emphasis in Fundraising.  Rose oversees athletic department inventory and leads game day operations.
