Hampton, Va. – We are excited to welcome alumni and fans to campus for Homecoming on Saturday, Oct. 28
th. This year's Homecoming game will be the first matchup between the Hampton Pirates football team and North Carolina A&T as members of the Coastal Athletic Association Conference. Please be advised of the information below related to Parking and Tailgating specifically for Homecoming Game Day

- You should NOT plan to drive to campus on Saturday if you do not have a parking pass for one of the game day lots AND a ticket to the game.UPDATE: Game Day parking for fans is available in Lots 1, 10, 11, 21, and 41. All Game Day Parking passes for these lots are SOLD OUT.
- Parking passes will be distributed to fans electronically and should be accessed on a mobile phone. Game Day staff will scan the pass on your phone at the entry of the assigned lot.
- As in years past, a ticket to the football game is required to enter the Homecoming Fan Zone and Tailgating area. Tickets will be scanned at 5 entry points to the Fan Zone. Tickets can be purchased at www.hamptonpirates.com/tickets. We strongly encourage people to download tickets electronically on your phone or print at home.
- Students should enter the Fan Zone at Entrance 6 with valid Hampton University student ID.
- Will Call will remain at the Convocation Center.
- FREE satellite parking will be available at the Hampton Coliseum (1000 Coliseum Dr, Hampton, VA 23666) and the VA Peninsula Community College (formerly known as Thomas Nelson Community College, 99 Thomas Nelson Drive Hampton, VA 23666) with shuttle service to campus. Shuttle service will run 8:00am to 7:00pm.
- The shuttle drop-off and Rideshare drop-off point will be at the Hampton Harbors Shops near the University Cleaners.
- Other FREE Parking options may be available in Downtown Hampton but no shuttle service will be provided.
- Handicap/Accessible parking is available in every game day lot. Additional accessible parking spaces will be available in Lot 10. All accessible parking spaces will be filled on a first come first serve basis.
- Game Day Lots will open to fans and tailgaters at 9am. Any earlier entry for tailgate setup must be arranged in advance with athletics department staff.
- UPDATE: Large tailgate spaces on Booker T. Washington lawn AND reserved tailgate spaces in Lot 11 are SOLD OUT.
- NEW in 2023! Tailgating is now also allowed in all game day parking lots. Your personal tailgate set up must be limited to the space behind your vehicle, you cannot block the driving lanes, and you cannot take up more than one parking space.
