HAMPTON, Va. (April 17, 2025) … The Hampton University outdoor track and field programs will head to Atlanta this weekend for the Georgia Tech Invitational at the George C. Griffin Track.
Hampton will take nearly 30 athletes to the invitational with several of those being among the leaders in the Coastal Athletic Association in their particular events.
Damali Williams has won her last two events she's participated in throwing the discus with a toss of 49.41m (162-1) at the JMU Invitational last week and a 53.25m toss (174-8) at the VertKlasse Meeting two weeks ago. She leads the CAA with her toss at the VertKlasse Meeting.
Justin Anderson is second in the CAA in the 400 meters after his 46.76 at the VertKlasse Meeting at High Point, N.C. Also for the men, Deondre McInTosh is third in the 100 meters and seventh in the 200 meters in the CAA.
Hampton will head next week to historic Franklin Field for the Penn Relays starting on April 24-26.
