Women's Basketball Announces Signing Of Aaryn Battle

HAMPTON, Va. (April 9, 2025) … Hampton University head women's basketball coach Tamisha Augustin announced on Wednesday the signing of Aaryn Battle as a member of the 2025-26 recruiting class.

Battle, a 5-10 guard from Sewell, N.J., played two seasons at Pitt where she saw action in 64 games over her stint with the Panthers. She had eight games in double figures scoring, topped by 17 as a freshman against LeMoyne and 15 as a sophomore against Binghamton.

Battle was active on the boards where she had 16 games of four or more rebounds topped by six each against Boston College as a freshman and Robert Morris as a sophomore. Also dished out career bests of seven assists against Saint Francis as a freshman and five against Duquesne this past season.

She attended Camden Catholic High School where Battle averaged 16.9 points and 5.4 rebounds per game as a senior. She was a McDonalds All-American game nominee,  All-South Jersey First team selection and All-Olympic Conference First Team following her senior season. Battle ended her career scoring over 1,200 points with over 400 rebounds and 300 assists.

She joins Akilah "AK" Shelton and Kayla Lezama as members of the 2025-26 recruiting class.
