HAMPTON, Va. (Jan. 22, 2026) … The Hampton University indoor track and field teams will head to the Hill City of Lynchburg to participate in the Liberty Open on Friday at the Liberty Indoor Track Complex.

Due to impending inclement weather, the meet was condensed to a one-day affair. Live stats will be available here.

Hampton enters the 37 school,  one-day meet with plenty of top ranked performers including:

Men's 60 hurdles – Yashahya Brown – 2^nd – 7.86
Men's 400 – Justin Anderson – 1^st – 46.76
 Men's 1000 – Mohammed Al-YaFee – 1^st – 2:26.58
Women's 60 hurdles – Zionn Rice – 1^st – 8.66
Women's 800 – Kylee King – 1^st – 2:10.85
Women's 1000 – Nia Warren – 1^st – 2:54.18
Women's High Jump – Emmani Shaw – 2^nd – 1.76m
Women's Shot Put – Rochele Solmon – 1^st – 15.30m

Both teams will be back in action on February 6-7 at the Penn Classic.
