Appeared in 10 games as a reserve safety and on special teams… recorded two solo stops on the year.

2005 • SOPHOMORE SEASON
Saw action in 10 games on the season as a reserve safety… had his best outing in the regular season finale with four tackles (3 solo) against Savannah State… had two stops in the Battle of the Bay at Norfolk State… registered one tackle in games against Morgan State, Delaware State, Gardner-Webb and Florida A&M… finished the season with 10 total stops on five solo and five assisted tackles… also broke up one pass.

AT UTAH STATE
During the 2004 season, Mansfield saw action in all 11 games for the Aggies of Utah State at the defensive back position … Picked up a total of 12 tackles on the year … Registered eight solo tackles on the campaign … Collected a season-high five tackles (three solo) against Louisiana-Monroe … Went on to record two tackles against UNLV, Middle Tennessee and Arkansas State … Also posted one pass breakup on the year.

HARGRAVE MILITARY ACADEMY
Spent one year (2003) at Hargrave Military Academy in Chatham, Virginia … Was named as the Cadets Special Teams Player of the Year … Posted six blocked punts and three field goals attempts … Picked up one interception on the 2003 campaign … Saw playing time at Milford Mill Military Academy (2001) in Baltimore … Helped the Millers at the defensive back position … Pulled in 13 interceptions while looming around in the defensive backfield.

WOODSON HIGH SCHOOL
Mansfield was named as a Second Team All-Metro member, as well as Team Defensive MVP … Played football four seasons, and saw action at both quarterback and free safety for the Warriors … He served as a team captain, and recorded the team’s highest grade point average (GPA) … Also recruited highly by Auburn and Pittsburgh out of high school.

Born to the world as the son of Aaron Mansfield and Valerie Neal … Born on Feb. 14, 1982 in Washington, D.C. … Vaughn has one brother … Likes to spend time with friends … Plans to major in Journalism and would like to enter Sports Broadcasting one day.
