2009 JUNIOR SEASON
Saw his only action of the season in the opener against North Carolina Central before redshirting.

2008 SOPHOMORE SEASON
Played in nine games for the Pirates, starting in five of them… rushed 90 times on the season for 338 yards and a touchdown… ran a career-high 34 times for 137 yards in a season-ending win over Morgan State… rushed for his only touchdown of the season in a win over Norfolk State, chipping in 53 rushing yards… caught three passes on the season for 15 yards.

2007 FRESHMAN SEASON
Played in all 11 games for the Pirates… rushed 59 times for 219 yards… averaged 19.9 yards a carry… ran for a season-high 66 yards on nine carries in a win at North Carolina A&T… returned five kicks for 99 yards, a season-long 32 coming against Delaware State… recorded one tackle on defense.

PHOEBUS HIGH SCHOOL
First Team Group AAA All-State at running back… Daily Press Offensive Player of the Year… ran for 2,148 yards and 21 touchdowns as a senior to help the Phantoms capture a state title… had 122 yards and two scores in the Virginia Group AAA Division 5 state championship game… chose Hampton over James Madison… ran a 4.45 40-yard dash.

Born Sept. 8, 1988… son of Selina Freeman and Dennis Mathis… featured in The Virginian-Pilot and the Daily Press… majoring in psychology… wants to receive a Ph.D. in psychology from Vanderbilt.
