A veteran of more than 20 years of collegiate coaching experience, Curtis Pittman joined the Hampton University staff in 2017 working with the distance runners and cross country programs.
Pittman has a wealth of experience as he served as the head track and cross country coach at Howard during 2011-12 and served almost nine years in the same position at Bethune-Cookman College. While with the Wildcats, his cross country teams won the MEAC titles in 1995, 1999 and 2000. In indoor track, the Wildcats won the MEAC Indoor Track Championship in 1997 and 1998.
He also served for eight years at the University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff as the women’s cross country and track coach. While at UAPB, his cross country teams won three Southwestern Athletic Conference championships.
