Andrew Paterini earns second straight AFCA All-American honor

Hampton, Va. – Hampton senior placekicker Andrew Paterini was named to the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Division I-AA All-America Team for the second consecutive year, the organization announced today.

Paterini, who was also a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) First Team selection, is Hampton’s all-time leader in field goals (59) and points by a kicker (361). This season he led the Pirates with 96 points scored for the year, making 16-of-21 field goal attempts and 48-of-52 PATs for a Hampton squad that captured its third straight MEAC championship and I-AA playoff appearance.
