WEST HARTFORD, Conn. – The Hampton University women's golf team finished fourth out of six teams at the Hartford Women's Invitational on Monday and Tuesday at Rockledge Golf Club, firing a two-day score of 688 (+112).
Sydnee Mauk (Las Vegas, Nev.) led the Lady Pirates by finishing fifth with a two-day score of 163 (+19). She shot a team-best 80 in the second round on Tuesday.
Iman Ellis (Reynoldsburg, Ohio) shot a 25-over 169 to finish in a tie for 11th with Hartford's Emily Linn.
Dionne West (Springdale, Md.) shot a 176 (+32) to finish in a four-way tie for 20th, while
Jessi Mitchell (Fayetteville, Ga.) finished in a tie for 29th after firing a 40-over 184.
Hailey Hill (Charlotte, N.C.) finished 31st with a two-day score of 185 (+41).
University of Albany won the team title with a two-day score of 657 (+81). Albany's Annemarie Kissane won the individual title in a playoff over Christiana Destefano of Fairfield after shooting a 15-over 159.
