Women's 400-meter dash semifinal results
DES MOINES, Iowa – Hampton University senior
Francena McCorory advanced to the final of the 400-meter dash on Friday at the 2010 USA Outdoor Track & Field Championships, held at Drake Stadium on the campus of Drake University.
McCorory (Hampton, Va.), a three-time NCAA champion in the 400-meter dash, ran a 52.15 to post the fourth-fastest time, finishing as runner-up in her semifinal heat. Debbie Dunn, who won the first heat, posted the fastest semifinal time with a 50.97.
Natasha Hastings was second overall with a 51.10 in the semifinal heats, while Monica Hargrove posted the third-fastest time with a 51.42.
The finals for the women's 400-meter dash will be held on Saturday at 2:36 p.m. CST. NBC will have live television coverage of the race, going on the air at 3 p.m. EST. The USA Nationals will also be broadcast via live streaming at
