Women's 400-meter dash first round results

DES MOINES, Iowa – Hampton University senior Francena McCorory advanced to the semifinals of the 400-meter dash in the 2010 USA Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Thursday at Drake Stadium on the campus of Drake University.

McCorory (Hampton, Va.) ran a 52.05 in Wednesday's first round, posting the fourth-fastest time. Debbie Dunn posted the top time with a 51.74, with Natasha Hastings and Sanya Richards-Ross of Nike each second with a 51.91.

The semifinals of the women's 400-meter dash will be held Friday at 6:45 p.m. CST, with the finals on Saturday at 2:36 p.m. CST.

The finals will be televised live on NBC, which will cover the event on Saturday from 3-4 p.m. EST.
