NAMPA, Idaho – Hampton University senior
Reggie Dixon finished fourth in the men's 60-meter dash at the 2012 NCAA Division I Indoor Track & Field Championships, which were held Friday and Saturday at the Jacksons Indoor Track on the campus of Boise State University.
Dixon (Plainfield, N.J.) matched his season-best time with a 6.60 in the final, coming in fourth. Florida's Jeff Demps successfully defended his title, turning in a 6.56.
Dixon also ran a 6.60 in the preliminaries, clocking in the best time of his heat.
All-America honors are awarded by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). Finalists in each event will be named First Team All-Americans, while athletes who finish between eighth and 16th will be named Second Team All-American.
Athletes who otherwise compete in any round of the NCAA Championships will be named Honorable Mention All-Americans.
All-American honors will be announced this week.
Florida won its third straight indoor NCAA team title with 52 points.
