HAMPTON, Va. -- The Hampton University sailing team finished seventh in the MAISA/SAISA Intersectional, which was held Saturday and Sunday at Strawberry Banks amid breezy and chilly conditions.

The Pirates went 3-10 over the course of the weekend.

Eckerd topped the standings with a mark of 12-2.

Over the weekend, Hampton won head-to-head matchups against South Florida (1-2-5 to 3-4-6 and 2-3-4 to 1-5-6) and Webb Institute (1-2-4 to 3-5-6).

Veronica Maccari, Maximilian Keuster, and Cristina Ortiz Vivas sailed in the A Division for the Pirates, while Hampton featured Albert Berk Toledo, Joshua Williams, Miles Braden, and Kitija Megne in the B Division.
