CAYCE, S.C. – The Hampton University Men and Women's team finished their season in the 2015 MEAC Tennis Championships. The men the Northern Division's No. 2 seed fell to Florida A&M 4-1 in the MEAC Tournament contest at the Cayce Tennis Center Friday.
The Pirates played a well-fought match. The lone win came with
Joshua McQueen (Miramar, Fl) winning at No.5 singles match.
The Lady Pirates, the Northern Division's No. 3 seed fell 4-0 to South Carolina State, Thursday at the Cayce Tennis Center.
Due to the inclement weather, the MEAC suspended championship play and South Carolina State men were awarded the NCAA automatic qualifier on Sunday.
The Lady Wildcats also earned the women's automatic qualifier after defeating South Carolina State with a 4-0 victory to capture their fourth MEAC title overall.
The Pirates respectively finish their season and look forward to the upcoming 2015-16 season!
