SAINT MARY'S CITY, Md. -- The Hampton University sailing team finished ninth in the MAISA Women's Championship, which was held this past Saturday and Sunday and hosted by St. Mary's.
The Pirates finished with 185 points.
Georgetown won the regatta with 71 points.
Veronica Maccari and
Katelyn Hull sailed in the A Division, tallying 107 points and recording a best finish of fifth.
Cristina Ortiz Vivas and
Kitija Megne sailed in the B Division, recording six top-five finishes -- including a pair of third-place runs -- in tallying 78 points.
