Hampton University sailing fall 2016 schedule
HAMPTON, Va. -- The Hampton University sailing team, fresh off its first-ever trip to the College National Championships, has unveiled its fall 2016 schedule -- a slate that opens with a home regatta.
The Pirates will be in Strawberry Banks to open the fall 2016 campaign on Sept. 3-4 with the Edward Teach Memorial -- which is one of the seven regattas Hampton won this past season. From there, the Pirates will be on the road for seven straight races to close out the fall.
The ODU Riley Open will be Sept. 10-11, before the Pirates head to the Bronx on Sept. 17-18 for the N.Y. Maritime Fall Open and Alexandria, Va. on Sept. 24-25 for the Tom Curtis South Qualifier hosted by Georgetown University.
Hampton will compete in the Kings Point Dinghy Open in Kings Point, N.Y. on Oct. 1-2, before heading to Geneva, N.Y. on Oct. 8-9 for the David Lee Arnoff Trophy. The Pirates will then be in the Bronx again on Oct. 15-16 for the Henry Luce Regatta.
After an off week, the Pirates will wrap up the fall with the War Memorial in St. Mary's City, Md. on Oct. 29-30.
