PORT ST. LUCIE, Fl.. – The Hampton University women's golf team took fifth place over the weekend in the 2017 PGA Minority Collegiate Championships.
Hampton had rounds of 333-331-320 for a 984 total. Bethune-Cookman won the event at 889, followed by Incarnate Word (919), Chicago State (926) and N.C. A&T State (940)
Leading Hampton in the event was
Britney Smith who finished in 22
nd place after rounds of 85-81-77 for a 27-over-par 243.
Lauren Price finished 24
th with rounds of 83-83-80 for a 30-over-par 246.
Zora Moore was tied for 25
th after rounds of 82-87-79 for a 32-over-par 248.
Jakari Harris ended the season in 27
th place with rounds of 84-81-84 for a 33-over-par 249.
Treliah Samuels was alone in 30
th for Hampton with rounds of 84-86-88 for a 42-over-par 258.
This concluded the 2016-17 Hampton golf season.
