VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. –Hampton's men's tennis team fell 4-0 to Radford University at the Virginia Beach Country Club on Tuesday.
In doubles action,
Charles Hudson and
Fernando Fernandes would win line two 6-2, but Radford won at line one in a tiebreaker 7-6 and at line three to take the doubles point. In singles play, Radford would win three of six matches at lines three, five and six for the team win.
Luke Thompson was ahead in the second set before the match was finished.
Hampton will be back on the court March 4-8 in Orlando, Florida. The Pirates will compete against Valparaiso University, Saint John's University, Appalachian State University, Lee University and Norfolk State University.
