HAMPTON, Va. – The Hampton University women's tennis team fell 7-0 on Saturday afternoon to Gardner-Webb University in a Big South Conference matchup.

In doubles, the Pirates dropped at line one and three by 6-3 scores as the Running Bulldogs took the team point.  At line two, the Pirates trailed 5-3 when the point was clinched.

In singles, Kiah Turner fell in a third-set tiebreaker3-6, 6-4, 1-0 (10-7) to lead the Lady Pirates.

The women are now off until April 5 when they start a four-match in four days run in Farmville, Va. against Longwood.
