HAMPTON, Va. -- The Hampton University men's tennis team dropped its Big South Conference finale on Thursday afternoon 6-0 to visiting Gardner-Webb.

The Runnin' Bulldogs took both contested singles matches winning 7-5 at line one and 6-2 at line two to clinch the point.  In singles, Davy vanGeerke fell in a third set at line one losing 6-2, 2-6, 7-5, while Charles Hudson pushed Stefano Puga at line five falling 6-4, 6-4.   Luke Thompson lost a second set tiebreaker at line two as he fell to Millen Hurrion 6-1, 7-6 (7-4).

Hampton will close the regular season on Sunday at 1pm hosting Norfolk State.
