Thursday highlights
Men's 110 hurdles – prelims
Hampton has four of the eight qualifiers for Friday's finals, including the top three times as
Dylan Beard keads (14.01), with
Charles Graham and
Jaelen Williams each running 14.04.Â
Isaiah Norris rounds out the qualifiers sitting in seventh (14.89).
Men's 400 – prelims
The Pirates have three qualifiers for the finals with the times ranked 1-4-7.Â
Jerrick Powell leads in 47.36 with
Derrick Price fourth (48.78) and
Khalil Gary seventh (49.28).
Men's 100 – prelims
Douglas Sessoms sits second after Thursday's prelims with a time of 10.56.
Men;s Shot Put
Hampton scored eight points in this event with
Nicholas Edwards taking third with a toss of 14.89 meters, while
Joshua Hunter was seventh in 14.11 meters.
Men's Decathlon
Hampton got 20 points in the decathlon with 2-3-4-8 finishes.Â
Trey Clark took second in the event (5561) with
Jordan Walker third (5533),
Isaiah Norris fourth (5385) and Eric Powell eighth (4434).
Norris finished with the top time in the 110 hurdles (15.33), second best in the discus (109-10),
Trey Clark shared the best mark in the pole vault (14-10),
Jordan Walker had the third best mark in the javelin (120-7) and third best time in the 1500 (5:19.32) to lead Hampton on Thursday.
