SAILING ANNOUNCES 2019 FALL SCHEDULE

HAMPTON, Va. – The Hampton University Sailing team announced its fall schedule for the upcoming 2019-20 season today.

They will start off its fall season with a busy first couple of days as most of the team will head for the Riley Cup in Norfolk, VA at Old Dominion University. The rest of the team will participate in the first Laser South Qualifier which takes place in Annapolis, MD. Both of these regattas will take place on September 7-8.

Going forward the Pirates will head back to Annapolis for the second Laser Qualifier on September 14-15. A week later they could travel to Kings Point, NY to take part in the Van Uyne Laser Championship on the 21-22 if they have anyone to qualify from the trips to Annapolis.

Heading into October the sailing team will compete in St. Mary's City, Md., at the Showcase Semi-Final on the 5^th-6^th. Hampton will travel to Chestertown, MD on October 12-13 to sail in the Central Series Ocean County regatta.

Depending on the results from the semifinal will determine Hampton's schedule for October 19-20 as the finals will be held in New London, Ct. To wrap up the fall season the Pirates will return to Kings Point, NY for the War Memorial, which serves as the conference fall championship, on October 26-27.
