TEAM FINISH: The Hampton men's golf team opened their season at Langley Air force base finishing first in their second annual Hampton Invitational.
 
ON THE COURSE

• Sophomore Everett Whiten Jr. was tied for first at six-over-par with rounds of 77-74-71. Mateo Manzanares also finished first at six-over-par with rounds of 73-77-72
• Arriek Douglas placed third after a 227 total with rounds of 77-74-76.
• Jairus Gaines was alone at sixth after rounds of 77-82-77 for a 236 total.
• Freshman Hadley Kramer was next for Hampton scoring a 251 total with rounds of 89-80-82 to place 11^th.
