BOILING SPRINGS,N.C. – A goal in the 23^rd minute by Jaasiel Fordeoff a crossing pass by Stina Kleppe proved to be the lone goal of the day as Hampton fell to host Gardner-Webb 1-0 on Saturday afternoon.

The Runnin' Bulldogs had a corner kick at the 22:24 mark as Kleppe sent the ball in toward the net where Fordeoff headed the ball past the Hampton goalie to put Gardner-Webb on the board.

Hampton was outshot 16-10, while goalie Maya Andrews made five saves for the Lady Pirates.  Next up for Hampton will be a 7pm match at High Point on October 5.
