ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – The Hampton sailing team opened their spring schedule this weekend with a second place finish in the 18-team Eckerd Interconference regatta.
In A Division,
Luca Taglialegne and
Can Dilikoglu took a top five finish in seven of the 12 races over the weekend to amass 65 points. In B Division, the group of
Filip Stevanovic,
Maja Petronijevic,
Isobel Finnegan,
Mercedes Matlock and Anthony Stubbs also finished in the top five in seven of the 12 races to total 87 points.
Boston College won the event with 68 points, followed by Hampton who won a tiebreaker with Northwestern as both had 152 points. Hampton next sees action on March 21-22 hosting the MAISA/SAISA Interconference.
