HAMPTON, Va. -- Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the tryouts for the 2020-21 Hampton University Blue Thunder Cheerleading Team will be done virtually.

Information on what will be needed to submit will post on the YouTube page for Blue Thunder on Saturday, May 2

Following the submission of the virtual tryouts, a provisional team will be selected and will attend camp at the end of the summer. Due to the inability to fully assess stunting and tumbling virtually, an official tryout/cut will be held at the close of the 1st week of camp; at this point our 2020-2021 squad will be officially chosen.  

Camp is tentatively set to begin the last week of July, however, this date is TBD following the lift of the stay-at-home order in Virginia.
