BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. -- Maddie Turlington scored an unassisted goal at 65:10 of the second half and that held up as Gardner-Webb defeated Hampton 1-0 on Saturday night.
In a contest that saw Hampton have eight shots on goal compared to two for Gardner-Webb, Turlington found the back of the net.
Hampton now will celebrate Senior Day on October 16 hosting Charleston Southern at noon at Wanner Stadium in Williamsburg.
