Box Score Hampton, VA- Hampton's Men's Tennis team captured their first win of the season, defeating Norfolk State University 4-0 Friday afternoon at NSU.
 
In a three-set match, Freshman Ange-Kevin Koua (Quebec, Canada) clinched a win 6-2, 3-6, 10-8 against Federico Rebecchini at the first singles position.
 
Senior Fayzullokhon Mavlyudov (Samarkand, Ubekistan) followed up winning No.2 singles 6-0, 6-3, defeating Ibrahim Abbas.
 
Cliff Dwyer (Oracabessa, Jamaica) and Sophomore Donte Arbrister (Washington, DC) closed out the match strong, winning both No. 3 and No. 4 singles 6-0, 6-0
 
The Pirates improve to a 1-7 overall record, while the Spartans fall to 0-3.
 
Hampton returns to action tomorrow, Saturday, March 12, 2022, hosting Presbyterian College at the James River Country Club in Newport News, VA.
