Box Score Hampton, Va. – The Hampton University Pirates dropped Friday's match against the Spartans of Norfolk State University 4-0 at NSU.
 
Juniors Franzene Tsui (Port Moody, British Columbia) and Keri Quillin (Atlanta, GA) fell 6-3 to Breana Cook and Aleksandra Evdokimova at number two doubles. 
 
Before Cook and Evdokimova took down Tsui and Quillin, Junior Laura Peralta (Bogota, Columbia) and Senior Milena Amedieva (Samarkand, Uzbekistan) clinched the doubles point 6-2 for the Pirates. 
 
Amedieva lost to Evdokimova 6-4, 6-1 at No. 1 singles, before Senior Viktoria Ljungman (Torekov, Sweden) and Tsui lost at the second and four positions.
 
Three singles were left unfinished at the third, fifth, and sixth positions.
 
The Pirates dipped to a 0-6 start to the season.
 
Hampton returns to action tomorrow, Saturday, March 12, 2022, hosting Presbyterian College at the James River Country Club in Newport News, VA.
