Kings Point, NY-  The Pirates Sailing team completed the 2022 regular season schedule placing 16^th at the America Trophy - MAISA Open Dinghy Championships in New York.

The regatta consisted of 18 teams that competed in the two-day event.

Day one ended due to a lack of wind, but both Division A and B were able to complete four races before the day was called.

"We didn't find strong wind as we hoped in this season, the wind was extremely light, not the best for us but we have to improve in this condition moving forward," said head coach Ambrosi.

Despite two days of unpredictable, winds the event was completed with no protests or breakdowns.

In the A Division, the boat of Can Dilikoglu (Turkey) and Valerio Palamara (Italy).

Racing in Division B for the Pirates was freshman Stefano Palamara (Italy) and freshman Tommaso Ciaglia (Italy).
