HAMPTON, VA … More than 50 percent of Hampton's student-athletes earned Dean's List recognition during the 2022-23 academic year, it was announced by Director of Athletics Anthony Henderson, Sr.

"Hampton's motto is 'Education for Life' and our student-athletes are well-known for their academic success in the classroom," Henderson said. "I am incredibly proud that more than half our student-athletes earned grade point averages in excess of 3.00 this past academic year. From the dedication shown by our student-athletes, to the passionate academic staff who nurture and support our young men and women, to our coaches who make academic success a priority, these results are a reflection of the culture at Hampton University."

In all, 182 student-athletes, representing every Hampton team, earned Dean's List honors. Hampton student-athletes attained a cumulative GPA of 3.24.

A total of 24 student-athletes posted a perfect 4.0 GPA.
