CARY, N.C. (Feb. 23, 2024) – The Pirates fell in their match against the North Carolina Central Eagles 6-1 this afternoon at the Cary Tennis Park.

Doubles

Daniel Flynn and Emiliano Jorquera's match against Kareem Abdul Hakim and Oliver Saarinen went unfinished 4-3. Aryan Arora and Donte Armbrister were defeated by Hugo Hildalgo and Leo Fortier (6-4). In the last doubles match, Naresh Bharathy and Neiman Sneed took down Benjamin Mwanza and Shine Tokas.

Singles

Flynn was defeated by Hildalgo in two sets 6-0 and 6-1. In the second match, Abdul Hakeem beat Armbrister 6-2 and 6-1. Jorquera won the only point the Pirates earned in today's dual by taking down Fortier in two sets that were both 6-4. Jorquera is now 4-2 in singles matches this season. Tokas lost to Bharathy 6-1 and 6-0. In the last two singles matches, Arora fell to Saarinen (6-1, 6-4) and Mwanza was defeated by Sneed in two sets that both finished 6-1.
