ORLANDO, Fla. (March 12, 2024) – The Lady Pirates dismantled the Marist Red Foxes by a score 4-0 and the Bryant Bulldogs 6-1 in today's matches in Orlando, Fla.

Vs. Marist Box Score

Against Marist, three singles contests ended unfinished, as Hampton had already been declared the winner with four points.

Mio Kozaki and Diana Starodubtseva improved to 2-3 as a team by defeating Caterina Assi and Cloe Clements 6-3. Meiri Okuwaki and Sofia Sokolova stayed undefeated at 5-0 after beating Devon De Sactis and Vihana Shresta 6-1.

Sokolova took down De Sactis in singles also, 6-0, 6-1. Lucia Jorrin Fernandez won her match against Vihana Shresta in two sets, 6-3, 6-4. Masa Mitic earned a win versus Andriana Zaphiris 6-0, 6-1. Sokolova, Jorrin Fernandez, and Mitic each won their fifth singles match of the season.

Vs. Bryant Box Score

The Lady Pirates had a quick start against the Bulldogs by winning two out of the three doubles matches. Kozaki and Starodubtseva beat Natalia Vela and Caitlyn Munson 6-1 to boost their record as a duo to 3-3. Okuwaki and Sokolova extended their unbeaten streak to 6-0 after fighting in a battle verse Olivia Rondini and Lisa Marie Dugec (7-6).

Hampton won five out of the six singles matches. Starodubtseva and Okuwaki both won their fifth singles matches of the season by taking down Yahli Noy (6-4, 6-2) and Munson (6-2, 6-3) respectively. Sokolova would win against Marie Jose Diaz in three sets (7-6, 6-3, 7-5) and teammate Jorrin Fernandez did the same verse Maria Dugec (6-1, 4-6, 6-2). In the final singles match, Mitic earned a hard-fought victory over Rondini (6-3, 3-6, 1-0 (10-3)).
