HAMPTON, Va. (April 5, 2024) – Hampton University men's tennis team defeated the Saint Joseph Hawks 4-2 on Friday afternoon in Neilson-Screen Stadium.

The Pirates struggled early on, dropping the doubles point before they won four singles matches. One doubles and singles match went unfinished.

Emiliano Jorquera defeated Justus Agbo 6-2 in two sets to grab the first point for Hampton. The Montreal, Quebec native leads the Pirates with a singles record of 10-4. Almost simultaneously, Daniel Flynn took down Ernesto Roy 7-5 and 6-0. Donte Armbrister earned the third point by beating Stergi Papadopolous 6-3 in two sets. Both Flynn and Armbrister have each reached seven singles wins on the season. Shine Tokas clinched the final point for Hampton in a 6-4, 6-2 win over Jack Campbell for his second win this spring.
