HAMPTON, Va. (April 11, 2025) … Coming on the heels of an impressive performance at the VertKlasse Meeting last weekend at High Point, the Hampton University track and field program will stay in the state this weekend and participate in the James Madison Challenge in Harrisonburg.
A total of 14 schools from around the region will convene in Harrisonburg – VCU, Va. Wesleyan, VMI, George Washington, James Madison, Loyola (Md.), Marshall, Mt. St. Mary's, Navy, Radford, Towson and UMBC join the Pirates at Sentara Park.
In the latest United States Track and Field and Cross Country Association national rankings, the women's team is ranked ninth in the discus, 17
th in the 100 hurdles, 18
th in the 400 meters and 21
st in the shot put.
The meet will be streamed on ESPN+ starting at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
