HAMPTON, Va. (April 9, 2025) … The Hampton University men's tennis team got back on the winning side on Wednesday afternoon with a 4-0 victory over Virginia State at Neilson-Screen Stadium.

Hampton (5-12) won both matches in doubles as Yanozie Amadike and Donte Armbrister won 6-0 at line one, and Aryan Arora with Kevin Jorquera took a 6-1 win at line two.

In singles, the Pirates took the first three spots, ending the dual match. Armbrister won 6-0, 6-0 at line one, Amadike took a 6-1, 6-0 at line two, and Jorquera won 6-1, 6-2 at line three to lock the win.

Hampton is on the road Friday at Loyola (Md.) before closing the regular season against Morgan State on Senior Day at 2 p.m.
