JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (May 31, 2025) … The Hampton University women's outdoor track and field team saw their final two competitors take to action on Saturday afternoon at the NCAA East Regionals in Jacksonville, Fla.

Junior Damali Williams and sophomore Rochele Solmon competed in the discus at the Visit Jax Track at Hodges Stadium and finished 26th and 35th respectively out of 48 competitors.

Williams threw 48.82 meters (160'2") on her second of three throws in the third of four flights to finish 26th. Solmon unleased a throw of 47.69 meters (156'5") also on her second throw in the first flight to finish 35th.

Williams and Solmon finished second and third respectively at the CAA Outdoor Championships last month to help lead Hampton to a second place showing.
