HAMPTON, Va. (July 7, 2025) … The 2024-25 Virginia Sports Information Directors All-State University Division Men's Indoor Track and Field team was announced on Wednesday and a pair of Pirates were recognized.

Joseph Ernest was a first-team selection in the jumps after he took a pair of second place finishes at the CAA Championships in the long jump (7.20m/23-7.5) and triple jump (14.92m/48-11.5). He finished in the top five in every meet in the triple jump and won the Penn Classic (14.85m/48-8.75).

Justin Anderson was a second team mid-distance selection after a season where he finished second in the 400 meters at the CAA Championships in 47.64. He was a member of the third-place 4x400 relay team at the CAA's that ran 3:15.28 and had a season best 1:19.93 at the Penn Opener in the 600 meters.

VaSID names 44 all-state teams in 23 sports each year, as well as an Academic All-State squad and an all-sports champion in both the University and College Divisions. Membership in VaSID is open to all media relations professionals working at a university or conference in the state of Virginia.
