NORFOLK, Va. (Feb. 17, 2026) … The Hampton University men's tennis team dropped a non-conference match with rival Norfolk St. 6-1 Tuesday afternoon. 

The Spartans jumped out to a strong start, winning all three of the doubles matches to earn the first point of the match. 

Rafael Padilha earned the Pirates win in the singles competition, taking down Patryk Kowal in the #2 singles slot 6-1, 6-0. Konishi Kohei and Aryan Arora each pushed their opponent to the brink, going three sets, but ultimately it was the Spartans prevailing to take Tuesday's match.
