Carmynn Bonner and
Violet Salazar each had two-run singles in a five-run third as the Hampton Pirates knocked off Maine 6-4 in day two of the Battle of the Bay Tournament on Saturday afternoon.
Maine (4-10) opened the scoring in the second inning with two runs on no hits as they took advantage of four walks to take the early 2-0 lead.

Maine trimmed the deficit to 5-4 as they plated two runs on a fielders choice from Kael Larkin.
The Pirates got an insurance run in the sixth as Aiken started the inning with a double and went to third on a wild pitch. Following a groundout, Evans laced a single to right to plate Aiken as Hampton took a 6-2 lead.
